Earlier today, I had the pleasure of meeting Tommy Orange and facilitating conversations with students. He spoke about storytelling and working with non-writers who often believe they don’t have a story to tell.

He said, Everyone is a pretty natural storyteller, especially when they don’t think they’re doing it. He also said, People earn their stories—after living through experiences and all the pain that comes with it. Each lived experience is a story.

And that really resonated with me.
