Once upon a time

I was a teenager

And I told God

“God—you can be really funny sometimes.”

And I still think that

Because during the long cold dark Omicron winter of 2022

That triggered feelings from March 2020

I prayed

YA ALLAH

MOST MERCIFUL

Please don’t let me eat alone this Ramadan.

So God gave me
